How we work.
Plain terms, no fine print: how every engagement runs.
The terms, in plain language
No non-circumvention clause. Ever.
Talent platforms often bind you for up to 24 months and charge double-digit conversion fees if you want a direct relationship. We don't. Want to bring the work in-house later, or hire someone we recommend? We just talk. If we're worth keeping, we'll earn it per engagement.
The people you talk to do the work
No account managers, no matching layer, no bait-and-switch to a stranger you never met. The engineer who answers your first email is the engineer in your logs — you work directly with the person doing the work, start to finish.
Your deliverables are yours when you pay
Your report, configs and benchmark output are yours on payment. Patches to open-source engines stay under those licences. Our general methods, tools and published notes remain ours.
Exit at any milestone, keep everything
Engagements are billed milestone by milestone, in advance. At every milestone boundary you can stop — no penalty, no wind-down fee, and you keep every deliverable already paid for.
Paid up front, no surprise invoices
Deposits and milestone payments come before the work — and in exchange you never float our costs, never see a surprise invoice, and never get billed for scope we didn't agree in writing.
If we find nothing actionable, it's free
The diagnostic guarantee: if the report has no measured finding (a confirmed root cause or quantified recoverable headroom), you get a full refund. The full definition is on the diagnostic page; the version on your invoice governs.
Paperwork, ready on day one
Every engagement starts with one signed form: the client authorization, covering remote access, session recording and mutual confidentiality. Read the sample before you sign anything. Scope and price for each engagement are set in writing, short enough to actually read. Need confidentiality before you tell us anything sensitive? We'll review your mutual NDA and sign it if its terms are reasonable. Happy to contract through your procurement or compliance vendor of choice if that's how your organization buys. Invoices in USD, from contact@anantus.net; payment details are on the invoice.
Your data never enters a marketplace
Marketplace platforms concentrate many clients' material in one place. Different by design here: your configs, logs, and model details go to one firm, under NDA — never into a third-party talent marketplace. The outside services we use today include Proton Mail (email) and Cloudflare (hosting, cookie-free analytics); any others that process engagement information are bound by confidentiality and named in your engagement or on request. We don't sell your information. Lab-only work on your configs can run on our nodes that have no internet route and can be done fully offline; our lab is not a certified air gap (most of our nodes have no internet route; one node is also our desktop and is our audited way out, and one other can reach the internet through our office network to download software packages). When an engagement needs to touch your systems, it's through a temporary, key-only account that you create, that expires on its own, and that you can revoke with one command, reached over your VPN or a WireGuard/Tailscale tunnel you control, only during your window. We never ask you to expose SSH to the internet. Never a standing door. This site sets no cookies and runs no ad trackers; we count page views with cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy).
Glass-box engagements: nothing we run on your systems happens outside our session recorder. Every command is recorded with the reason it was run and its full output, in a tamper-evident record. When the session ends you get your own copy and a unique fingerprint; any later edit to the record changes the fingerprint. No change to configuration, software or data happens without your approval. The access script also writes its own log, on your machine, of when access was granted and removed. We work in the open because we're comfortable being checked.
Response times
First reply within one business day. If we're at capacity you get a start date, not silence. If your problem isn't a fit, we say so immediately and point you somewhere useful — no charge for finding out. Diagnostic reports land one working day after payment and materials are in, for models and frameworks already on our lab; otherwise we give you the date before you pay.
That's the whole deal.
No fine print you'll discover later: the signed client authorization adds a liability cap, no promise a problem can be fixed, your backups, and Pennsylvania law. Start with the low-risk piece:
